St. Mary's church which dates from the 12th century as the ancient  doorway indicates. The architecture is a classic “Norman box” much restored in 1879-1880 by Earl Browlow. At that time a new roof was built and the ancient belfry re-built

The visitor and exhibition centre is housed in Oswestry school's original building of 1407. The Cambrian Railway Museum and old railway station with the “Engineering Works” (Which are currently being refurbished as the new medical centre) are all that’s left of Oswestry’s Railway past!
